God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. 1 John 4:16
Loving God, we are “the apple of your eye”—a gift, not a reward for anything we have done. May that gift so shape us that we are indeed lovers of both strangers and our neighbors, especially those whom the world ignores or forgets. Amen.
