Proverbs 16; 2 Corinthians 1:1–11
Do not let the downtrodden be put to shame. Psalm 74:21
The Canaanite woman knelt before Jesus, saying, “Lord, help me.” He answered, “It is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that moment. Matthew 15:25-28
O God, we see them every day, on the street corners, in our schools and with their tents in the underbrush. Remind us that we are blessed to be a blessing. Help us discern what that might look like. In your name, we pray. Amen.
