Thursday, May 28 — Psalm 69:30–36
Numbers 16:28–17:13; Mark 14:43–52

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Psalm 25:16

The sick man answered Jesus, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me.” Jesus said to him, “Stand up, take your mat and walk.” John 5:7-8

Loving God, grant peace and healing to those who suffer from illness of mind, body, and spirit. We know that pain can often cause isolation and loneliness. Let us not forget those who are separated from us because of their burdens. Amen.
