Thursday, May 30, 2024 — Psalm 71:1–8
Numbers 18:25–19:22; Mark 14:66–72

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Psalm 126:1

Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For now we see only a reflection, as in a mirror, but then we will see face to face. 1 Corinthians 13:8,12

Lord God of hosts, as we go through our daily lives, we rarely think about what happens after this world. There is too much to do on this earth, too much to enjoy and appreciate. But we know, in the back of our minds, that eventually we will join the Church Triumphant, and that it will be beyond anything that we can imagine. Alleluia! Amen.
