Thursday, May 6 — Psalm 59:1–9
Job 42; 1 Corinthians 11:17–30

The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand, satisfying the desire of every living thing. Psalm 145:15-16

Jesus said, “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!” Luke 12:22-24

Bread of Life, we know there are many who hunger and thirst in the world. Still we ask, still we plead, give us today our daily bread—for we know that it is not only for ourselves but for our brothers and sisters we are pleading. Give us our daily bread. Amen.
