Thursday, November 9 — Psalm 120
Ezekiel 44:28–45:25; 1 John 1:5–2:11
I had said in my alarm, “I am driven far from your sight.” But you heard my supplications when I cried out to you for help. Psalm 31:22
The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. Romans 8:26
When our pain and sadness keep us from feeling your light and we hear only silence, we still know that we are not alone. The Spirit is our companion. O Lord of the fertile ground and desert places, thank you for keeping us whole. Amen.
