Thursday, September 21 — Psalm 108:1–5
Jeremiah 51:24–64; Hebrews 6:1–12

You will certainly revere me, you will accept discipline. Zephaniah 3:7 NASB

Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling things there; and he said, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer.’” Luke 19:45-46

Sovereign Lord, your justice is powerful and creative, beginning with each of us allowing your will to work its way in us. We sometimes make the mistake of believing that faithful action takes singular courage. What it takes is union with you and your reconciling purpose in the life of Jesus Christ. On this trust, we base our lives. Amen.
