Tuesday, April 25 — Psalm 54
Job 30; 1 Corinthians 6:9–20

Light shines in the darkness for the upright; [he is] gracious, compassionate, and righteous. Psalm 112:4 NASB

This slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

God of light, shine brightly, even through the gloom of our afflictions. Shine, so that we can see the way to live a righteous life before you. Help us to be gracious, not rude; truthful, not dishonest; patient, not expedient; compassionate, not cruel; full of joy and not despairing. Amen.
