Tuesday, August 3 — Psalm 91:9–16
Isaiah 64,65; Colossians 4:10–1 Thessalonians 1:5a

Blessed be God who has sent his angel and delivered his servants who trusted in him. Daniel 3:28

Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hands of Herod.” Acts 12:11

Lord, you preside with us when we struggle against the agents of death and violence in our lives. Rescue us from the pain we would cause one another and guide us when we ourselves suffer under the grip of malice. Amen.
