Tuesday, July 16, 2024 — Psalm 86:1–10
Deuteronomy 27:14–28:24; Luke 9:37–50

Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God”? Isaiah 40:27

Jesus said to the disciples, “Oh, how foolish you are and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory?” Luke 24:25-26

O God of each day, how refreshing to learn your children long ago questioned you, and at times felt disregarded. Still, we trust you in moments of uncertainty and continue to turn to you for courage and wisdom to live through each day’s struggles. Amen.
