Tuesday, July 22 — Psalm 88:6–12
Isaiah 44:24–45:25; Philippians 3:12–4:1

Before I was humbled I went astray, but now I keep your word. Psalm 119:67

Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Tend my sheep.” John 21:16

God, sometimes we stray, like sheep distracted by greener grass. We know that even when we stray, you never stop seeking us, and we always receive your grace. There is no shame in our humanity, and for that, we humble ourselves before you in gratitude. Amen.
