Tuesday, October 14 — Psalm 119:1–8
Ezekiel 20:30–21:17; James 2:1–13
You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. Psalm 116:8
A woman who had been suffering from a flow of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all she had on physicians, no one could cure her. She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, and immediately her flow of blood stopped. Luke 8:43-44
Merciful Savior, we cry out to you for relief. In our sorrow, despair, and anguish, let us draw closer to you and the promise of your healing love. We yearn for the moment when your arms will enfold us, and your love surround us. Bring your comfort to us, we pray. Amen.
