Wednesday, April 30 — Psalm 56:1–8
Job 36:27–37:24; 1 Corinthians 9:12b–27
Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours. 1 Chronicles 29:11
God has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. Ephesians 1:9-10
O Ancient of days, grant us the faith to accept the many mysteries we cannot understand. Give us the courage to seek answers in Christ and to follow in his example. Though we are feeble and our bodies temporal, we praise your sustaining and life-giving Spirit. Amen.
