Jesus called the disciples to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones are tyrants over them. It will not be so among you.” Matthew 20:25-26
God of every nation, we live in a time of hatred, war, and despair. Help us to know that you are our refuge and strength throughout. We have hope that one day the world will be at peace, and truth and justice will reign. Amen.
