Wednesday, September 15 — Psalm 107:1–9
Jeremiah 48:26–49:16; Hebrews 3:1–15

You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Isaiah 54:14

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” John 14:27

God, our defender and protector, we bless your holy name. We thank you for the peace that surpasses all understanding and the assurance of your divine protection. Help us, we pray, to be a channel of your peace wherever we go. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
