The Northern Lehigh Region

Congregations serving the Northern Lehigh Region include: Newfoundland Moravian located in the Poconos. Schoeneck Moravian and Nazareth Moravian both located in Nazareth. East Hills Moravian, Advent Moravian, and Edgeboro Moravian are all located in Bethlehem. Palmer Moravian and First Moravian Church of Easton are both located in Easton.

The Northern Lehigh Region is spread out from the beautiful Pocono Mountains to the suburbs of Bethlehem and Urban Easton, PA. While the location might be diverse from rural to urban, the common theme of serving others and loving your neighbor is evident among all eight congregations.

Some activities of the churches include:
Serving meals at the local Salvation Army.
A “pay-as-you-can” rummage sale to support the local homeless shelter program “Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering”.
Gathering and collecting snacks and school supplies to support the Esperanza ministry.
Sponsoring a “Backpack Buddy” program which provides a weekend’s worth of food for needy children at the local elementary school.
Collecting items for the local food pantry.
Housing the local food pantry while their permanent facility is being built.

In addition to serving others there are many social activities to get involved with. There are dinners from spaghetti to chicken barbecue, fellowship at the “fire-pit”, picnics, and fun “pick up and play” get togethers where folks bring their instruments and play for fun!
There is something for everyone in the Northern Lehigh region!
