Third Sunday after Pentecost

Watchword for the week — If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

Sunday, June 26 — 1 Kings 19: 15-16,19-21; Psalm 16
Galatians 5:1, 13-25; Luke 9:51-62

God, you who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again. Psalm 71:20

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. John 14:27

God of peace, we have experienced trouble on every side, causing our hearts to bleed. But we are eternally grateful that even in the midst of our frustration, pain, and suffering, we can find rest in you. Amen.
