In Spanish, the word used for “shepherd” and the word used for “pastor” are one and the same: pastor pronounced pah-STORE).
Little Esther, pictured here, is the granddaughter of a “pastor” (her grandfather is the Rev. Aldo Gonzalez, pastor of the Moravian Church in Santayana, Cuba) and the daughter of a pastor (Sister Barbara Alien Gonzalez Escalona, who is a candidate for ordained ministry). Both of them are pastors and shepherds because they work on a farm (thanks to support from the Armando Rusindo Mission Foundation) that helps to support their ministry. Esther has learned a lot from them about being a “pastor” (shepherd) and (who knows?) she may also end up being a “pastor” (pastor!) some day.
