Part of the support that the Board of World Mission and the Ahuas Committee offer to the medical ministry at the Clínica Evangélica Morava in Ahuas, Honduras, is in facilitating the donation and transportation of new and used medical equipment that can benefit the patients in La Moskitia. Recently a generous donor contributed funds to purchase a new colposcope, a piece of equipment that will literally equip the staff of the Ahuas Clinic to better serve their female patients. The note of gratitude below comes from Dr. Maylo Wood, the medical director at the Ahuas Clinic.

On this occasion, I want to express my deep gratitude to Dr. Benno for his efforts on behalf of the Ahuas Clinic. Through his efforts, he found a servant of God with a noble heart who donated the funds to purchase a colposcope. This device will be of great help in diagnosing premalignant cervical lesions in the women of our community, allowing us to aid in the fight against the terrible disease of cervical cancer.
