Last Year’s Ride:

On September 7th, 2025, riders, supporters, and friends of the Board of World Mission came together for our first-ever bike ride fundraiser as part of the Door County Century Ride… and what a ride it was!

Our purpose at the Board of World Mission is to build relationships, and this event was a shining example of that. From the 21 people who rode their bikes with us… to the 8 people who cooked and served the spaghetti dinner that fueled our ride… to the 5 people who manned our Moravian cheering section… to the 150 people who made donations… this was truly a team effort!!

Now that our legs have recovered and the final numbers are in, we are thrilled to report that our team rode 1,360 miles and raised $15,246, far exceeding our $10,000 goal.

The Board of World Mission works around the world, equipping local leaders, responding to disasters, investing in education, and supporting health care initiatives in many different communities. This ministry today is possible because of faithful Moravians who invested in mission generations ago. In the same spirit, the funds from this Century Ride will be invested to sustain and grow mission for the next 100 years, ensuring that future generations can continue this good work.

We are grateful to the local Door County congregations for their hospitality throughout the weekend of the Century Ride. Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church hosted a wonderful spaghetti dinner for our team and other Moravians on Saturday evening, and the Sister Bay congregation – which was located almost exactly at the halfway point of the 100-mile route – graciously welcomed our century riders when they walked (and biked) into the sanctuary during worship! The 100-mile crew also stopped at Ephraim Moravian for a team selfie.

Whether you supported the ride by hopping on a bike, cheering from the sidelines, cooking a meal, or making a donation, you have helped to show that we’re in it for the long haul. Thank you for being part of this journey!
