Congregation Spotlight: Lititz Moravian Church

Over recent months, many Northern Province congregations have answered the call to support families suffering violence in Ukraine. Lititz Moravian Church’s Board of Trustees was looking for ways to support refugees when they saw an appeal from the Board of World Mission and immediately felt connected to one of the highlighted projects. A congregation in Nová Paka, Czech Republic, (a town about the same size as Lititz, PA) was renovating a hotel to house Ukrainian refugees. Initially hoping to contribute $5,000 to this effort, the Trustees asked their congregation to match this contribution… the members of Lititz Moravian Church exceeded all expectations and contributed over $40,000 to help the Czech congregation renovate living space and provide other basic necessities for their Ukrainian guests.

It is always inspiring to see the generosity of Northern Province Moravians as you commit your time, talent, and treasure to brothers and sisters throughout the Moravian Unity and around the world. Thank you, Lititz Moravian Church, for being an example of this generosity and commitment!
