For years, Rev. Gregory Behrend has had a dream of creating a church that works to be more inclusive for individuals living with disabilities. This passion was sparked when Greg visited Star Mountain Rehabilitation Center, an initiative of the Worldwide Moravian Church in Palestine, while at the 2011 Young Adult Convo. Over the past decade, Greg and his wife Amy have been personally involved with disability ministries while Greg was finishing seminary and then serving in a traditional congregational setting. He and Amy continued to feel called to this work and, almost exactly one year ago today, began a new and emerging ministry called You Belong in Green Bay, WI.
You Belong is committed to sharing the love of Christ while being grounded in inclusion, love and compassionate care. They aspire to be a church home for all people, of all walks of life, but to live that out in such a way that each person feels truly included in all that they do. You Belong offers a variety of programs, including family classes, worship events, athletics camps, inclusive fellowship gatherings, and more. All of their programming is geared toward families and people of all abilities.
