“Good morning, God. What are You up to today and how can I be a part of it?”
Years ago, when I asked a group of people what stewardship meant to them, a woman answered my question with this question of her own. To her, being a faithful steward meant waking up every day and finding out how she could use everything, her time, gifts, and resources, for God.
What a beautiful understanding of stewardship.
At the Moravian Ministries Foundation in America (MMFA), we understand stewardship to be generously using all we have and all we are in faithful service to God, creation, and humankind.
MMFA has provided stewardship services to the Moravian Church for over 25 years. Why?
Because we believe:
- God created us to be stewards,
- Stewardship is a commitment to becoming Christ-centered rather than self-centered,
- How we care for one another, creation, resources, and more is part of our spiritual journey and brings us closer to God, and
- Stewardship is an incredible responsibility, privilege, and joy,
And because we envision thriving Moravian ministries that glorify God, and know this will take faithful and generous stewardship, we work with and for Moravians in North America who desire to live more fully into our identity as God’s stewards.
“Good morning, God. What are You up to today and how can we be a part of it?”
If your church is asking this question and would like to explore how stewardship is part of the answer, give MMFA a call. We look forward to partnering with you to move ministries forward, together.
Speaking of moving ministries forward, the annual Moravian Day of Giving is TODAY – Tuesday, March 4th! This day of collective generosity gives you the chance to support the Moravian ministries that mean the most to you. Click here to learn more.
