The New and Emerging Ministries Team was organized in early 2018 to support members, congregations, and regional conferences of churches as they reach out in new ways, sharing the love of Christ in word and deed, discover where God is already at work, and to invite others to experience community together as we grow in faith, love and hope.
Our 2014 Synod recognized the call of God “to develop communities of faith and other ministries that are consistent with the mission of the Moravian Church Southern Province, that join the Spirit’s transforming work in this ever-changing world, and reach out in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighbors.”
Synod asked that guidelines be developed for new and emerging ministries that “promote sustainability, offer accountability, and foster collaboration and discernment during periods of transition and for the future.”
This page is where you will find news, information and resources about new and emerging ministries in the Southern Province.
