360 Review of the Provincial Elders Conference

Thank you to everyone who participated in this survey! We are processes the data and will provide a report with information gleaned from the review!

More about the survey:
This reflection opportunity focuses on your experience with and perceptions of the Moravian Church Southern Province Provincial Elders Conference (PEC) and the Provincial Staff (Directors of commissions, financial office, and support staff), now that PEC is halfway through its 4-year term. It is one part of a “360 review” of the PEC, with perspectives being gathered from the PEC itself, Provincial staff, and anyone associated with a Moravian church in the Southern Province. It provides you with the opportunity to reflect on and share your perspective, from wherever you sit and with whichever “hat(s)” you wear (e.g., layperson, educator, board member, administrator, clergy), on the work of the PEC: what it has been and is and also what you would like it to become. It is our intention that doing so will serve to deepen our collective awareness, relationships, and practices and enhance our Moravian community. In addition, the PEC and Provincial staff will learn more about its actual and potential roles, integrating your first-hand experience with our own reflection and thereby generating concrete ideas for enhancements as we move forward into the second half of the PEC term.
The PEC takes on a variety of responsibilities, including facilitating call processes, partnering with Ecumenical relationship such as full communion partners and the World Council of Churches, fulfilling obligations to the Moravian Unity (the World-Wide Moravian Church), financial governance, personnel and human resources. For more background on the PEC and Provincial staff, please go to URL (https://www.moravian.org/southern/moravian-church-southern-province-staff/). Here you will find a brief summary of the work of the PEC and Provincial staff and also “meet” each of the current PEC and staff members.
Completing this reflection should take no more than 30 – 45 minutes, and this space will remain open until midnight on August 16, 2024.
