Responsibilities,” the covenant reads “considering it a special privilege to live in a democratic society, we will faithfully fulfill the responsibilities of our citizenship, among which are intelligent and well-informed voting.”

Voting Checklist:

- Make sure you have valid photo idea (All Southern Province states except Virginia require photo ID to vote. VA requires photo or non-photo ID.)

Virginia Registration Deadlines
In Person, By Mail, or Online: Received by close of business (in person) or 11:59 PM (online) OR postmarked by October 14.
Election Day Registration Instructions: You may register at the office of your general registrar or satellite location during the early voting period. On Election Day, you must go to the polling place for the precinct in which you reside.
You must present non-photo ID to vote. Accepted forms of ID include Virginia driver’s licenses, U.S. passports, student IDs, and copies of current utility bills, bank statements, etc.
North Carolina Registration Deadlines
In Person: Nov 2 at early voting
By Mail: Postmarked Oct 11 If the postmark is missing or unclear, the application will still be processed if it is received by Oct 16
Online: Oct 11
Same day registration is generally only available during the early voting period, but not on Election Day. You must have a photo ID to vote. One of the following documents is required: a North Carolina driver’s license, other photo identification issued by a government agency, a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document showing the voter’s name and address, a current college/university photo identification card paired with proof of campus habitation or other photo ID that has been approved for voting purposes.
South Carolina Registration Deadlines
In Person: Oct 4
By Mail: Oct 7 (including postmarked if sent by mail)
Online: Oct 6 Online registration is only available to those with a valid South Carolina driver’s license or photo ID issued by SC DMV.
You must have a photo ID to vote.
Georgia Registration Deadlines
In Person, By Mail, or Online: Oct 7 Online registration is limited to those with a valid Georgia issued driver’s license.
Runoff Registration Deadline: Nov 4
