WILLIAM H. & LENA M. PETREE SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFIT FUND FOR RETIRED PASTORS AND SPOUSES
Bill and Lena Petree were dedicated Moravians who cared deeply about our Church. Throughout their lives they generously supported needs in the community and ministries of the Church. They were particularly touched by the sacrifice of pastors and their spouses who dedicated their lives and work to promoting the Gospel and serving the Church.
Prior to their deaths, Bill and Lena decided that special consideration should be given to those who served the Church. Through a generous planned gift they created a special fund to provide supplemental income to retired pastors, their spouses, and/or widows/widowers who meet certain qualifications.
The Southern Province, through the PEC, prayerfully designed a program that will accomplish two important goals: 1) fulfill the wishes and charitable intentions of the Petree’s; and, 2) respect the privacy and dignity of those who apply and receive an award from the Fund.
