Job 1,2; Romans 11:7–18

The Lord will not cast away his people, for his great name’s sake. 1 Samuel 12:22

If we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:13

So many times, God, we have turned away from you, giving you every reason to turn away from us. Yet, patiently and persistently, you pull us back from our pride and selfishness. You labor to restore us to yourself and to one another. Thank you, faithful God. Amen.
