Daily Prayers for Moravians

Introduction

I have created this blog as a way of sharing these prayers that have become a meaningful part of my ongoing dialog with God. May these prayers bring you a greater awareness of God’s presence in your life! Use them as you wish to enrich your life, and the lives of those around you. If you use this page regularly I would appreciate hearing a comment from you. I’d like to know what I can do to make this page more useful for you.

How to use these prayers

Greetings Friends: These prayers are meant to be prayed either in community or in solitude. If done with a group this can be read as a responsive prayer with a leader reading the regular print and the rest of the group reading the bolded print. These prayers are posted at the beginning of each week and are based on the Watchword for the Week as found in the Moravian Daily Texts. To get more information and purchase your own copy of the Moravian Daily Texts, or to sign up to receive them via e-mail, click here.

About Me

My name is Chris Giesler and I am blessed to be the Director of Mission Engagement for the Board of World Mission of the Moravian Church in North America. I am also privileged to serve as a Bishop of the world wide Moravian Unity. Please visit our website at www.moravianmission.org to see more about what I do.  I live in Bethlehem, PA with my wife Tina. Our daughter, Martha,  is married to Matt, and they are blessed to be caring for their first child, Ruthie, born on September 8, 2018.   We also love being grand-parents to Addison (an inquisitive 10-year old) and Michael (an active and mathematically gifted 7-year old)  a precious 4-year old, Riley, and a joyful 1 year-old, Eli, all of whom belong to our son Andrew and his wife Amy who live not from us in Bethlehem.
