Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he the child in whom I delight? As often as I speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore I am deeply moved for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says the LORD. Jeremiah 31:20

God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Romans 11:2

Kindly Light, shine on us this day with beauty abundant. Help us to better grasp our charge to lead and serve others with vigor, frankness, and mercy. May we lavish others with kindnesses to warm their souls. Amen.
