Saturday, January 9 — Psalm 7:10–17
1 Chronicles 9:1–34; Acts 11:11–24

You will be in the right, O Lord, when I lay charges against you; but let me put my case to you. Jeremiah 12:1

Now when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received the usual daily wage. And when they received it, they grumbled against the landowner, saying, ‘These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’ Matthew 20:10-12

Wonderful Creator, we are so glad to be made in your image! You gave us hands to do work, to care for others, and to praise your holy name. Let the work of our hands please you and further your kingdom. Amen.
