Loving and merciful God, we are grateful to be called your children and reminded of our call to be faithful disciples. Help us to share your love and mercy with all whom we meet in these troubled times, where greed, deceit, and self-centeredness have a stronger hold than generosity, honesty, and selflessness. We ask for your guidance as we seek to manifest your presence in this dark world. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
