Christ Jesus became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, in order that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31
O Source of our being, if we are honest with ourselves and with you, we recognize that not one of us is self-made. All that we are and all that we have is the result of the blessings, gifts, and abilities with which you have blessed us. Cleanse us from vanity and pride. May we view ourselves through our gratitude to you for what you have made us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
