The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. Proverbs 19:21
So when they had come together, they asked Jesus, “Lord, is this the time when you will restore the kingdom to Israel?” He replied, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:6-8
Savior, as your disciples witnessed your ascension into heaven, help us to witness your power over all areas of our lives. You came once as a tiny baby, but you will return to earth as a conquering king. We wait with expectation and hope for that glorious day. In your name, we pray. Amen!
