Thursday, October 29 — Psalm 119:113–120
2 Samuel 21; John 10:34–42
You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 4:2
Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word that you have heard. 1 John 2:7
God, you gave us your greatest commandment that we should love you with all our hearts, souls, and minds. The second commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves. Help us to keep these commandments without changing them to suit our needs. Amen.
