Then Jacob woke from his sleep and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” Genesis 28:17
From the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell to the ground and were overcome by fear. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Get up and do not be afraid.” Matthew 17:5–7
Most kind and heavenly Father, we thank you this day for the blessings of heaven and the assurance of your calling to us. If we follow you we need not fear in anything that we do. All praise to you, our God. Amen.
