Tuesday, October 4 — Psalm 115:9-18
1 Samuel 23; John 5:1–15

The Lord executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and loves the strangers, providing them food and clothing. You shall also love the stranger. Deuteronomy 10:18-19

I was a stranger and you welcomed me. Matthew 25:35

Loving Lord, make us mindful of the opportunities given to us each day to be kind to those who may be feeling unwelcome because they are different from us. Give us courage to truly act as your representatives. Amen.
