Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost

Watchword for the week — Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. Hebrews 4:14

Sunday, October 10 — Amos 5:6-7,10-15; Psalm 90:12-17
Hebrews 4:12-16; Mark 10:17-31

Naaman said, “Your servant will no longer offer sacrifice to any god except the Lord.” 2 Kings 5:17

I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1

Merciful God, as we present to you our bodies, help us to present our minds and hearts, too. Teach us what it means to be a “living sacrifice, holy and acceptable” to you. Amen.
