Hebrews 4:14-16; John 10:1-10

Saturday, November 13 — Psalm 124
Daniel 2:34–3:18; 1 John 4:1–16a

Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior. Isaiah 45:15

Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations. Ephesians 3:20-21

Almighty God, we not only acknowledge you as leader of our lives, but willingly submit our hearts to the just work of your kingdom. In reverence and adoration, we pray. Amen.

† On this day in 1741, it was announced in all Moravian congregations that Jesus Christ had been chosen Chief Elder of the Moravian Church. The Moravian Church has had no single human chief executive since then, and now observes this as a festival day.
