We welcome anyone to join us on Monday, August 28th starting at 12 noon. We encourage you to read a most fascinating book entitled, Hear My Voice by Marcia R. Rudin. We have 6 copies of the book available for sale at $8 each at the Commission on Congregational Development (see Heather Stevenson: [email protected]). It is out of print and can be a challenge to locate physical copies, but not impossible. It is also available on Kindle.
The story is set between 1940 and 1990. The book follows the story of three women who feel called to the religious life as a nun, a minister, and a rabbi. The story follows the civil rights struggles of that time and how the women experience complicated personal and religious journeys. It is a work of fiction but follows the timeline of what took place over 50 years. Learn more about the author by reading her bio here.
