The Rev. Rebecca Craver, Executive Director, [email protected] 

The Rev. Rebecca Craver serves as the Director of the Commission on Congregational Development. Rebecca served as pastor at Edgeboro Moravian Church, Bethlehem, PA and Associate Director of the Antioch Project with the Moravian Board of World Mission, Mission Developer with Zacchaeus’ Tree Congregation, Indianapolis, IN and Edmonton Moravian Church, Edmonton, AB, Canada. She served as the chair of the Healthier Congregations taskforce in the Moravian Church Northern Province for 7 years.

Rebecca holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Moravian Theological Seminary.

Rebecca lives in Durham, NC, with her spouse Bobbie and their two children. Rebecca enjoys art, theater and a long talks over a cup of coffee.

Rebecca is a member of the Raleigh Moravian Church of Raleigh, NC.

The Rev. Christy Clore, Faith Formation Specialist, [email protected]

The Rev. Christy Clore currently serves as the Faith Formation Specialist for the Southern Province of the Moravian Church, a new role that focuses on being a companion to leaders in congregations and fellowships for support in our shared work of forming creative and engaged disciples of Christ.  Elected to the Provincial Elders Conference at the 2022 Synod, she also serves as Vice President of PEC.  She has served in a variety of roles in the Moravian Church and Salem Presbytery.

Christy grew up on a farm in rural Rockingham County, NC where she learned to be curious about the ways God shows up in the natural world.  That curiosity was encouraged throughout her studies at the North Carolina School of Science and Math, Oberlin College, Candler School of Theology, and Moravian Seminary.  It has continued to be nourished in work that has led to certifications in Christian Education and Transitional Ministry.  She is currently a Coach-in-Training through the International Coaching Federation as one way to help others cultivate deep curiosity about what God calling them to do as disciples.

Christy’s husband, David, and their son, Miles, enjoy exploring coastal NC by kayak and can often be found in separate cozy corners of their home reading, watching movies, or working on projects.

SamLevi Sizemore, Communication Coordinator, [email protected]

SamLevi is putting an artistic and linguistic spin on this “tech guy” role at the CCD office. They manage various newsletters, social media, and other digital content from the Southern Province and CCD office. They graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Creative Non-Fiction and Studio Art. SamLevi grew up in Winston-Salem and has recently returned to town to work in this roll. Growing up, they attended church with their grandmother at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and The Summit Church’s youth programming. In their free time, they enjoy reading comics and memoirs, making spreadsheets, making their own clothes, letterpress printmaking, and practicing German. SamLevi is in office Tuesday-Thursday 9-5.

The Rt. Rev. Lane Sapp, Director, [email protected]

The Rt. Rev. Lane A. Sapp serves as the Director of the Commission on Ministry of the Moravian Church, Southern Province. Lane served as founding pastor of Good Shepherd Moravian Church of Kernersville, NC and pastor of Calvary Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He served two terms on the Provincial Elders’ Conference of the Moravian Church, Southern Province for a total of 11 years and was elected a Bishop of the Moravian Unity in 2002.  

Lane holds a Master of Divinity degree from Moravian Theological Seminary and is currently working toward certification as a Spiritual Director.  

Lane lives in Winston-Salem and is married to Lilyann Baker Sapp, a retired RN. Lane and Lilyann have twin sons, Jonathan, and Charles. An avid reader, Lane enjoys exploring topics in American history, particularly the presidency of Abraham Lincoln.  

Lane is a member of Calvary Moravian Church of Winston-Salem, NC.
