This year, many Moravian congregations will still be worshiping online on Palm Sunday when we traditionally sing the Hosanna anthem to celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This also marks the beginning of Holy Week. We originally made this recording in preparation for Advent of 2020, but we offer it again to you now. This video brings Moravians from around the world together virtually to sing this traditional anthem.
As did our passion for mission, the video begins in Herrnhut but then moves to the US Virgin Islands, where the first missionaries landed in 1732. The voices pick up from across North America from the east coast, through the mid-west, western Canada, and then Alaska.
We hope you enjoy singing along with all these voices and sharing the joy and anticipation of the Advent season.
